The El Dorado Jr Cougars is a member of the Sacramento Youth Football (SYF)League. The Organization felt strongly the move would be beneficial to the future of the Jr Cougars and would build long lasting rivalries within El Dorado County as the Union Mine Jr Rattlers and the Golden Sierra Jr Grizzlies are both members of SYF. The SYF currently has 24 member teams strategically divided into four divisions. The Jr Cougars are in Division III with five other teams.
The Sacramento Youth Football League is a member of the American Youth Football (AYF) League. The American Youth Football, Inc., established in 1996, is an international youth football organization established to promote the wholesome development of youth through their association with adult leaders in the sport of American football. a national youth partner of the National Football League.
The El Dorado Jr Cougars are also a member fo USA Football. USA Football is an independent non-profit organization leading the development of youth, high school, and international amateur football. In its role as the national governing body of America's favorite sport, USA Football provides programs and resources inspiring participation and further strengthening the quality of the game.
